Young Voices Concert: A Night to Remember for Our Amazing Pupils
Pupils from our school recently took part in the spectacular Young Voices concert, and we could not be prouder of the way they represented our school throughout the entire experience. From the moment they set off to the very last song of the evening, their behaviour, positivity and enthusiasm were outstanding.
The children joined thousands of other young singers to create one of the largest school choirs in the world. The atmosphere inside the arena was electric, and our pupils embraced every moment — singing with confidence, smiling throughout, and showing wonderful teamwork and support for one another.
Staff accompanying the group commented on how mature and respectful the children were during travel, rehearsal and the main performance. They listened carefully, followed instructions brilliantly and showed kindness to those around them. Their excellent conduct made the day run smoothly and ensured everyone could fully enjoy the experience.
For many of our pupils, taking part in the Young Voices concert was truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Performing in a professional arena, under bright lights and alongside so many other schools, is something they will remember for years to come. It was inspiring to see their faces light up as the music began, and the audience joined in.
We would like to say a huge thank you and well done to every child who took part. You were a credit to our school and your families, and we are incredibly proud of each and every one of you. Your dedication during rehearsals, your brilliant singing on the night and your exemplary behaviour throughout the day were exceptional.
Thank you as well to the staff and families who supported the event — your encouragement and organisation helped make this unforgettable experience possible.
This was more than just a concert; it was a celebration of confidence, teamwork, music and joy. Congratulations to all involved on creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Special Message from Mrs Gill :
" Last night, I had the great privilege of taking a group of pupils to the BP Pulse Arena Live in Birmingham, to perform as part of a choir made up of over 5000 children. We had worked very hard since September, learning words, dance moves and sign language and even inventing some of our own too.
We had the opportunity to sing with several people including a Broadway star and also Connie Talbot, who was on Britain's Got Talent in 2007 when she was just 6 years old.
Parents came to watch the show in the evening and it was the most incredible evening, one that the children - and staff - will remember for a very long time. The children were impeccably behaved and myself, Ms Lester, Mrs Burrows and Mr Page, could not be more proud of them.
We even got filmed for the official video and for some of their backstage videos! We are all a little tired this morning, but when I have seen the children this morning, they are still beaming with happiness, pride and achievement from last night's concert.
Thank you to everyone that supported this and made the event go ahead.
Here's to Young Voices 2027! "
