Welcome Message from the Head Teacher

It is a real privilege to introduce you to our school.

As the Headteacher of this vibrant two-site primary school, I am immensely proud of all we do for our children, their families, and the wider community.  I joined the school back in January 2022, on the back of the Covid-19 pandemic, and we are on a journey of rapid improvement so we can rewrite the possibilities open to our children and give them the best possible life chances.

Little did I know at the time of joining our school that my own father attended this school as a young child.  Like quite a few of our children, the school has been a constant presence within families over many generations. However, despite this, we are passionate about ensuring that nothing ‘stands still’ and that we continue to develop in the best interests of the children we have in the moment.

Back in September 2024, the school changed its name as a way of signifying a new beginning and new approach for the children.  At Samuel Allsopp, we believe in everyone.  We don’t believe that one’s start in life, their culture, their background or ability should limit their individual opportunity to shine. We believe that there are no barriers to what can be achieved when the conditions are right.  We hold high expectations of everyone and don’t write anybody off!  We are a place where children CAN!
